What is now Bassett Creek Dental originated in 1966 when Dr. Richard Adamson opened his dental practice above North Drug on 36th Avenue North in Minneapolis. Dr. Adamson moved his practice to the Bassett Creek Medical Building in 1973. The office was located on the third floor of this building. Dr. Steven Nielsen joined Dr. Adamson in May of 1974. The practice was named Adamson, Nielsen and Associates, P.A. in November of 1979. Dr. Lisa Howard joined the practice in January 1981. In 1982 the practice of Dr. Paul Poss joined Adamson, Nielsen and Associates. The third floor office began with three treatment rooms in 1973. Remodeling and expansion took place in 1975, 1984 and 1986. In 1986 there were seven treatment rooms.
Bassett Creek Dental became the official name in June 1984. Evening hours were offered at this time and well received by patients. Evening hours are still available today Monday through Thursday.
