In the 2005 legislative session, the Office of Environmental Assistance and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency became a new, combined department, working to help Minnesotans protect their environment through assistance, training, permitting, compliance and outreach. By coordinating these approaches the new department will be able to work more effectively at protecting, conserving and improving our resources.
