Inspired by a lifelong dream, visionary and current owner Diane J. Mattaini opened the doors of Trattoria da Vinci in the fall of 1999 with one main goal in mind. She wanted to offer her guests the opportunity to experience truly authentic Italian dining without ever leaving Minnesota. Diane knew that in order to achieve her goal, she needed to serve Italian cuisine that was a notch above the rest, Italian cuisine that guests had never experienced outside of Italy, cuisine that would have them talking about it for weeks afterward. To accomplish this, she brought Executive Chef Angelo Volpicelli, a native of Rome, on board to create a masterpiece menu of authentic Italian fare.
