The Gallery features numerous works of contemporary art primarily by living midwestern artists in all media including paintings, drawings, photographs, bronze, wood, neon, and original prints. Changing exhibitions (approximately every 6 weeks) are accompanied by public receptions and private previews. Its home, a 1920's era brick structure had its heyday in the roaring twenties when gangsters found solace in Saint Paul and frequented similar retail/ apartment buildings as they escaped the "heat" from their criminal ventures in cities like Chicago. The building is being restored and today once again has its ten foot tall front windows and transoms. Inside, warm wood floors and the exciting works of art offer a pleasant place to escape and enjoy the work of regional artists. Within the Gallery, the Madhatter's Teahouse offers 20 varieties of tea,
iced teas and shade grown coffees. Each month it also becomes the venue for "Roots Music" - traditional acoustic performances by affecionadoes
